G3

Years ago I went with some friends to a G3 show in Concord. Vai, Satriani, and Malmsteen. Highly entertaining, and a great show of talent and virtuosity. Just the other night though, I had the ULTIMATE G3 lineup pop in my head. Jimi Hendrix, Eddie Hazel, and Pete Cosey . That would be the shit. For real. All 3 of them are highly influential to modern guitar. I'm sure most who pay attention to electric guitar know Hendrix, but you need to get to know Eddie Hazel on his work with Funkadelic/P-Funk and Pete Cosey with Miles Davis in the 70's. I wouldn't be doing this today without them.
